Business alignment
Capture objectives, growth plans, constraints and risk priorities.
An IT strategy sets out how technology will support your organisation's goals, and a technology roadmap sequences the work to get there. Umbrella Tech develops both for Australian organisations: we review your current environment and priorities, then set out initiatives, owners and decision points across infrastructure, security, cloud, governance and automation. You get a plan leadership can fund and teams can deliver.
Without a plan, individual projects compete for budget while foundational problems stay unresolved. Spending follows whichever issue is loudest, and dependencies between projects surface late.
You receive a practical IT strategic plan and a roadmap your leadership and technical teams can use. Each initiative states why it belongs in the programme, what it depends on and how it will be judged. Solution architecture and procurement then follow from the roadmap as each initiative becomes ready.
Capture objectives, growth plans, constraints and risk priorities.
Review capability gaps, supportability, security posture and major system dependencies.
Define initiatives, sequencing, owners, indicative effort and decision points.
Agree how the IT roadmap is revisited as priorities, risks and the environment change.
Security and compliance are planned as part of the roadmap, not added to it afterwards. We sequence foundations such as identity, backup and patching ahead of the projects that depend on them, and reflect obligations such as the Essential Eight. A Technology & Infrastructure Review from our Assessments & Roadmaps range can provide the starting baseline.

A plan that links your business objectives to the systems, capabilities and investment needed to support them. It usually includes a current-state view, a target state and a technology roadmap to move between them.
Before a period of growth or change, when technology spend feels reactive, after a merger or leadership change, or when ageing systems force several decisions at once.
It should be detailed enough to guide decisions while keeping future assumptions visible. We agree the planning horizon and distinguish committed work from initiatives requiring further discovery.
The strategy itself is a planning engagement. Initiatives on the roadmap can then be delivered through Technology Project Delivery, your internal team or other providers, with the roadmap kept current.
It depends on the size of the organisation, the number of systems and stakeholders, and how much current-state information already exists. We confirm scope and timing during discovery.
Tell us where the business is heading and what technology is holding it back, and we will help shape the plan.
