Cybersecurity Projects
Cybersecurity projects close specific gaps in how an organisation protects its identities, devices, email, data and network. Umbrella Tech is a Perth cyber security company delivering cyber security services to organisations across Australia: we assess the gap, make the agreed changes and show evidence that the controls work. This page sets out the kinds of security projects we deliver and how we check them.

What cyber security services cover
Cyber security services are the assessment, design, configuration and testing work that reduces the chance and impact of a security incident. In practice that means identity and sign-in controls, device protection, email and data security, firewalls and network segmentation, logging and recovery. Frameworks such as the Essential Eight, the Australian Signals Directorate's eight baseline mitigation strategies, help decide what to fix first.
How outcomes are validated
We agree how each control will be checked before work begins. Depending on scope, evidence can include:
A complete delivery record
Each project ends with a record of the starting position, the changes made, the test results and the exceptions still open. It names who owns each control from then on, so protection does not lapse after handover.

Frequently asked questions
What does Umbrella Tech provide for cyber security services?
We run Cybersecurity Assessments to find the gaps, then deliver the fixes through Cybersecurity Uplift projects covering identity, devices, Microsoft 365 and the network. Every change is tested and documented before handover.
Who are cybersecurity projects for?
Organisations that need to act on an assessment, an insurer's questionnaire, a customer requirement or a recent incident. We work directly with business owners and managers, or alongside an internal IT team or IT provider that needs specialist help.
What outcomes should a cybersecurity project deliver?
Controls that are switched on, tested and owned, with evidence you can show a board, an insurer or a customer. Remaining risks should be recorded with a decision against each one, rather than left unknown.
